Myanmar banned from 2018 FIFA World Cup
On 28 July 2011, in the second leg of their AFC Second Round series against Oman, Myanmar's fans began hurling objects on the field during first half stoppage time, leading to a suspension of the game with Oman leading 2-0. On 30 September 2011, FIFA's sanctions against Myanmar included banning the team from the next FIFA World Cup.
